Josiah Turner a “One and Done,” but not for traditional reasons: to transfer from the University of Arizona

As we all thought for the past couple weeks, Josiah Turner confirmed Wednesday afternoon he will transfer from the University of Arizona. He has not selected the next school in which he will attend next year, but will make a decision in the coming weeks.

Josiah’s departure comes after several disciplinary issues that he had throughout the season, including several suspensions that potentially cost Arizona an NCAA Tournament bid. His last suspension, which left him watching the Pac-12 Tournament from the couch of his home, was the last straw for head coach Sean Miller. Miller was looking for replacements before season’s end and found one this week in Duquesne transfer T.J. McConnell.

What does this mean for the Poing Guard situation next year? Jordin Mayes and Nick Johnson will look to take the reigns until TJ McConnell is available in 2013-2014. How do you think the U of A team will able to fill Josiah’s void as the facilitator of the team? Are the expectations still the same?
