On Saturday, the defending World Champs (and this is meant in a literal sense) announced their 2012 Olympic rosters and former Wildcat Andre Iguodala will be taking his passport to London.
Always known as being uber-athletic, Iguodala has solidified himself as one of the best defensive players in the league. Even though his offensive numbers may have fallen, he proves much more valuable guarding the opposing teams best player, night after night.
This is exactly why Jerry Colangelo and Coach K selected him. The USA Olympic team is not about individual performances, but team unity.
And Iguodala surely brings that.
He joins fellow Pac-12′ers Russel Westbrook, Kevin Love, and James Harden.
The rest of the team rounds out like this: Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, Deron Williams, Blake Griffin, and Tyson Chandler.
