The Arizona Wildcats basketball team just wrapped up a two game, multi-day vacation to the Bahamas.  The first game showed how much firepower this team really has in a 136-66 smashing. The second game was a little closer: 99-57.  For those interested, here are the box scores for game one and two.

Thanks to Anthony Gimino from the TucsonCitizen for posting two videos, one of Sean Miller recapping the trip and one with some game footage. Enjoy.

While on the trip, Arizona received a verbal commitment which pretty much surprised everyone on the outside.  Elliot Pitts, class of 2013, is a 6’5″ wing player who is ranked as 4 star prospect via ESPN. According to ESPN, he had offers from California, Washington, Georgetown and Virginia.

Here is Pitts breaking the news on Twitter:

Officially an Arizona Wildcat!

While all this was going on, Andre Iguodala won a gold for Team USA basketball on Sunday. Congrats to him.

On top of that, Arizona football has been holding their training camp this past week and had a team scrimmage on Saturday.  Ryan Finley of the Daily Star has all the stats from the game.

UA football has also been adding to their 2013 recruiting class with another quality player, this time a defensive lineman from California.  Earlier in the week, they added a stud running back.
