Arizona’s injury report was released and things are looking good for tonight’s game against the Bruins. For a team with paper thin depth, Arizona requires every able body available.
First and foremost, Arizona doctors have cleared Matt Scott to play, finding that Scott did not suffer a concussion in last week’s game against USC. This is obviously huge, as Scott continues to be Arizona’s biggest playmaker on offense.
There is more good news. Arizona’s veteran offensive lineman, senior center Kyle Quinn, is probable. The Wildcats’ O-line have been doing a solid job without him for the last few weeks, but they will now be very dangrous with his return. Carey will have room to run tonight.
Last but certainly not least, Arizona’s second best defender is nowhere to be found on the injury report. Safety Jared Tevis, who injured his ankle against Oregon State and missed a few games (and played for a limited amount of time during USC) is back to help the secondary and bring people down (he’s the second best tackler on the team). This is huge news for the Cats, who need every good defender they can get against a very good UCLA offense.
