Arizona Set to Take on Nevada in the New Mexico Bowl

The Arizona Wildcats (7-5) and Nevada Wolf Pack (7-5) will be the opening act of a nearly month long bowl season.  They will face off in Albuquerque, New Mexico on December 15th, at 11 am Tucson time.  The game will be on ESPN and will be the first of two UA games to shown on that network as they have the Arizona/Florida basketball later that night.

Both schools are coming off of losses, so Arizona and Nevada will be extra motivated to play well and end the season on a high note.

Early numbers:

Both teams like to score.  The Wildcats and Wolf Pack both average 37 points a game.  Just like on the offensive side, both teams give up points.  Arizona gives up 34 a game, while Nevada is slightly less at 33.

Nevada runs the ball very well, averaging 260 yards a game, while passing for 240.  Arizona on the flip side averages 291 passing yards to 230 rushing yards.  However, those UA numbers are slightly misleading as the passing yards have been coming down and the ground game is picking up.

This game will be exciting as offense will come a plenty and defense will just be along for the ride.
