It’s settled, Nick Foles is the starting quarterback for the rest of the season (and probably for some time afterwards). Foles has started the last four games for the Philadelphia Eagles and has improved in almost every game. On the season he has thrown for 793 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions. He is sporting a QB rating of 73. He could have secured his first win as a starter in yesterdays Sunday Night game, but a fumble by the Eagles RB changed the complexion of the game. The SNF game was his best showing of the season. He thew one touchdown to no interceptions, had 251 passing yards (a career high), and a 96.6 QB rating. The Eagles take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their next game who are the leagues worst at stopping the pass. This should bode well for Foles and his Eagle mates.
In other Arizona Wildcats news, the UA basketball team moved up another slotin the weekly polls to eighth. Arizona is 5-0 and is only 12 days away from one of the top NCAA non conference
games of the season, when they take on #6 Florida. CBSSports has Arizona at number seven in their Top25 (and One) and their RPI at 22. Arizona’s next two games against Soutern Miss and Clemson will help their RPI but not greatly as both sit above 150.
In college football news, CBSSports announced their All American teams and Arizona’s own Ka’Deem Carey found himself on their first team. Carey was one of four Pac 12 players on the offensive side of the ball. This is only the start of the recognition he will earn during the next few weeks.
