Arizona Wildcats have Highest Ranking in 8 Years, Currently #4 in AP

The Arizona Wildcats (8-0) are now firmly in the top five in the national polls, finding themselves fourth in the AP and fifth in the Coaches Poll.  This is the highest ranking they have received since being third in both polls in Week 8 of the 2003-2004 season.

The Wildcats moved up from eighth last week with their win over then fifth Florida, 65-64.

The AP top five includes Duke, Michigan, Syracuse, and Louisville, while the Coaches Poll has the same top three, only flipping Louisville and Arizona.

On the RPI side, Arizona has continued it’s trek up, reaching eighth with an RPI of .6825 and the 35th hardest strength of schedule.

UofA is the only Pac-12 school to be ranked, but Oregon (9-1) is 26th, just 22 points behind North Carolina State.  Besides those two teams, the Pac-12 is looking like a league with few other At-Large bids.
