Ka’Deem Carey in Position to be Top Rusher of 2012

Yesterday, Wisconsin’s running back Montee Ball and Northern Illinois’s quarterback Jordan Lynch both had opportunities to knock Ka’Deem Carey off of the totem poll of the nation’s most rushing yards this season. In the Rose Bowl and the Orange Bowl, however, both Ball and Lynch came up short. Kenjon Barner is the only one left who has any remote chance of challenging Carey, but Barner’s chances are highly unrealistic: he would need 305 yards in an Oregon offense that distributes the ball amongst several players against a very good rushing defense in Kansas State.
