Following a thrilling overtime victory over Colorado last Thursday night, Arizona took the day off today against Utah and, only because it was Utah, were nevertheless able to come out with a three point victory. Consider the Wildcats lucky…again.

Arizona shot only 36% from the floor, which is their second worst shooting performance this season. Though the Utes shot better than the Wildcats (43%), Arizona out-rebounded Utah 34-22 (15-5 offensive rebounds) and therefore gained more opportunities to score. Both teams made the same amount of baskets (21) and the same amount of three point shots (7), but Arizona gained the win by making three more free throws (11-12) than the Utes (8-9).

The player of the game without a doubt goes to Solomon Hill, who had 19 points (6-7 from the field, 3-3 from the three point line and 4-4 from the free throw line) and 6 rebounds. Kaleb Tarczewski gets an honorable mention for bringing down 7 offensive rebounds.

If the Wildcats would like to keep their streak alive, they will have to play much better on Thursday when they face a hot Oregon (11-2) team in Eugene.
