Zona Zealots Pac-12 Basketball Power Rankings

1. Arizona Wildcats (16-1, 4-1) last: 1

The #6 Wildcats convincingly take care of state rival Arizona State and turn the hype up in Tempe into utter silence. Their game against UCLA next week will be huge.

2. Oregon Ducks (16-2, 5-0) last: 3

We can’t ignore #16 Oregon anymore after upsetting UCLA on the road. Arizona’s loss to the Ducks last week might play a vital role in determining the Pac-12 Champion.

3. UCLA Bruins (15-4, 5-1) last: 2

UCLA’s 10 game winning streak came to an end last weekend with a loss to Oregon.

4. Colorado Buffs (12-6, 2-4) last: 4

Splitting the series on the road against Washington (loss) and Washington State (win) isn’t bad, but a sweep would have been a lot better for this struggling Colorado team. It may not be bold to say Colorado will need to sweep the bay area schools next week at home if they want to stay alive in the conference and in post season play.

5. Arizona State Sun Devils (14-4, 3-2) last: 5

With a loss to Arizona, the Sun Devils get a taste of the better half of the Pac-12 and learn that they will not beat tougher competition with Jahi Carson alone.

6. Washington Huskies (12-6, 4-1) last: 7

Beating the Buffs at home was a good victory, but losing to the Utes at home is costly. The Huskies are on the rise but still one of the most unpredictable teams in the Pac-12.

7. Stanford (11-7, 2-3) last: 8

Though Stanford beat Cal, the Golden Bears are starting to look like a subpar team. The Cardinals could really use a quality win this year, and beating Colorado on the road this week would be a good start.

8. California Golden Bears (10-7, 2-3) last: 6

Losing to rival Stanford on the road was probably expected, but pulling the upset would have given the Golden Bears some hope in a team that is falling quickly.

9. Utah Utes (9-9,1-5) last:10

The Utes finally got a well deserved win in the Pac-12 over Washington on the road. We see the Utes pulling off a couple more upsets this season.

10. USC Trojans (8-11, 3-3) last: 11

A two point loss to Oregon and a victory over Oregon State is considered a win for a team that just lost their head coach and given up on the rest of the season.

11. Washington State Cougars (10-8, 1-4) last:12

A win over Utah gets the Cougars out of the basement. Nothing more and nothing less.

12. Oregon State Beavers (10-8, 0-5) last: 9

Oy vei. The Beavers have not won a game in the Pac-12 yet this season, and their weak non-conference schedule might be the main reason Oregon State is off to an awful start in conference play. A one point loss to the Trojans always leaves a bad taste in the mouth and currently leaves OSU in last place.
