The Wildcats put together a combined batting average of .363 and on base percentage of .518, while holding Coppin State to an average of .116 and on base percentage of .200. The MVP of the series goes to Johnny Field, who had 6 hits (including one double and one triple) in 13 at bats and 6 RBIs. From the new faces of the program, designated hitter Tyler Parmenter led the way with a batting average of .600 (3 for 5, including one triple and 3 RBIs) and an on base percentage of .714. A fun fact of the series–Arizona was hit by a pitch 13 times in three games.
Next up, Arizona faces Long Beach State on the road this Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by a three game series against San Jose State next weekend.
