Arizona Football: On Tuesday morning in New York City, former Arizona defensive end Tedy Bruschi was introduced as one of the 12 members of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame’s Class of 2013. This honor as been a long-time coming for one of Arizona’s greats! Bruschi becomes the fourth Wildcat elected to the Hall of Fame. Linebacker Ricky Hunley (1997), safety Chuck Cecil (2009) and tackle Rob Waldrop (2011). Bruschi was the heart and soul of Arizona’s defense during the desert swarm era. He went on to play 13 years of professional football with the New England Patriots and win three Super Bowl rings!
“Go ahead and Bear Down, my friend. Tedy Bruschi is in the Hall of Fame,” said Rece Davis, at the College Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Tuesday morning.

- The NCAA announced a rule change that will allow the Arizona Wildcats to begin practice in September. In year’s past, the team had to wait until mid-October to ebgin practice. The new rule allows men’s teams to start practicing six weeks before their first game…Sept. 27 in the case of the 2013-2014 Wildcats.
- Solomon Hill has been invited to attend the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago, May 15-19. Hill is projected as a second round draft pick.
- Sean Miller has a new assistant coach and it is a well known name in the Wildcat family. Damon Stoudamire will leave his post at Memphis to join the Arizona coaching staff.
“It’s just a great opportunity for me to go back to a place where I had great success as a player, and now to try to go back and have great success as a coach and just kind of add to where they’re already at,” said Stoudamire.
