The Arizona Wildcats are still looking to add other pieces to the puzzle for the 2013-2014 season, for a possible run at the Final Four. Another piece may be coming to play in Tucson this fall.
Kadeem Allen was offered a scholarship from Arizona according to Brad Winton of Jucorecruiting.com . Allen is a 6’3″ Junior conference all-American and Jayhawk conference player of the year. Along with Arizona, Kansas and Oklahoma State are also interested in Allen. Allen is a late blooming wing that would give Arizona more depth at the guard position. Nick Johnson is expected to log a majority of the minutes at shooting guard, and the Wildcats also have Gabe York and Elliott Pitts available at the position. Allen would provide insurance in the event that either York or Pitts do not stick in the backup role and take a longer time to develop. Allen is game ready, can shoot, and would provide an immediate impact on the roster.
We will have to see if Allen sticks, but the minor pieces to the puzzle are starting to come together for the Wildcats run to a Final Four or National Championship.
