On Sunday, Arizona Wildcats head coach Rich Rodriguez and his staff announced their players of the week for Saturday’s 31-13 loss to Washington:
“Hard Edge” Player of the Week: Ka’deem Carey, RB
Carey was awarded the distinction for the second straight game after rushing the ball a career-high 30 times for 132 yards and one touchdown. He also caught four passes for 49 yards, including a 24-yard reception on 4th-and-10 to set up a 7-yard B.J. Denker touchdown run in the 3rd quarter. His performance marked the seventh-straight game he has rushed for over 100 yards and the 12th-straight game he has rushed for at least one touchdown. Carey has rushed for 1,345 yards and 15 touchdowns in his last seven games.
Note: Rodriguez did not pick an offensive, defensive or special teams player of the week for the first time this season.
