Arizona Wildcats vs. Utah: Staff Predictions

The Arizona Wildcats take on the Utah Utes on Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on Pac-12 Networks live from Arizona Stadium in Tucson, Ariz. Here are our picks for Saturday’s game:

Justin Sayers, Editor: Arizona 35, Utah 28
Justin-Sayers_avatar“This is a make-or-break game for the Wildcats, as a win puts them into the discussion to finish in the top-half of the conference, while a loss might mean no bowl game. On the other hand, Utah has to go on the road after an emotional win, which is never an easy task. I don’t think that Arizona will lose three in a row, so I’ll pick the Wildcats by a touchdown.”

Nicole Cousins, Staff Writer: Arizona 24, Utah 21
Nicole-Cousins_avatar_1380526818-177x190“Utah has the momentum coming off last Saturday’s upset vs. No. 5 Stanford. Junior wide receiver Dres Anderson, who scored two touchdowns against the Cardinal, will be a force to be reckoned with for the Arizona defense, who gave up 546 yards at USC last Thursday. Arizona will have to utilize it’s home field advantage on Saturday to pull off a win against the Utes.”

Fernando Galvan, Staff Writer: Utah 31, Arizona 24

“Arizona is coming off two straight losses and it will not get any better until the quarterback play gets more consistent. Meanwhile, Utah is riding a wave of momentum after beating Stanford. The Utes are tied for sixth in the nation with 20 sacks, so it should be another long day for B.J. Denker and Rich Rodriguez.”

Zoe Wolkowitz, Staff Writer: Arizona 31, Utah 21
Zoe-Wolkowitz_avatar_1380129593-190x190“The Wildcats last played at home on Sept. 14…that was 34 days ago. All I know is Arizona is going to bring the heat. Arizona’s defense finally is back on track and if they can force turnovers, the Wildcats should have the advantage over the Utes.”
