Offensive Player of the Week: Ka’deem Carey, RB
Carey ran for 236 yards and a game-clinching touchdown on a school-record 40 carries in the win. He surpassed 100 yards for the ninth-straight game and 15th time in his career and rushed for more than 200 yards for the third time at Arizona. He also eclipsed the 3,000-yard mark for his career and ranks 5th in shcool history with 3,159 rushing yards.
Defensive Player of the Week: Sione Tuihalamaka, DL and Reggie Gilbert, DL
Tuihalamaka registered a career-high eight tackles, including 1.5 tackles for a loss. Gilbert had four tackles (2.0 for loss) and a sack in the victory. They were a big reason why the Wildcats held Utah to a season-low 329 yards, which is 140 yards below their per-game average.
Special Teams Player of the Week: Terris Jones-Grigsby, RB
Jones-Grigsby had a career-high four tackles, including three solo stops on kick return coverage. He had two solo tackles on kick returns and one on a punt return. He was a big reason why the Utes were held to 19 yards per return and 3.6 yards per punt return.
“Hard Edge” Player of the Week: Tellas Jones, S
Jones had two tackles while playing on special teams, while also seeing significant time in the secondary due to injuries to Jared Tevis and Tra’mayne Bondurant.
