Arizona Wildcats Football Recruits: Week 8

After adding three more commitments this past week, the Arizona Wildcats 2014 recruiting class moved up to 17th in the country and first in the Pac-12, according to 247sports.com. Let’s take a look at how those committed players did in their games last week:

Jamie Byrd, DB, Iowa Western Community College, Council Bluffs, Iowa
Byrd had two tackles in a 63-6 win over Ellsworth Community College (Iowa Falls, Iowa).
2013 Stats: 36 tackles (1.0 for loss), one interception, one fumble recovered, five passes broken up

Rodney Carr, DB, Salesian High School, Los Angeles
Salesian High School has yet to post stats for their 64-37 win over St. Anthony (Long Beach, Calif.).
2013 Stats: 5 tackles, two interceptions, three pass deflections

Jamardre Cobb, LB, Salesian High School, Los Angeles
2013 Stats: 46 tackles (4.0 for loss), 1.0 sack, one fumble recovery, seven quarterback hurries

Jerod Cody, DL, Glendale Community College, Las Vegas, Nev.
Cody has yet to play in any games this season, according to NJCAA.org. The Gauchos lost at home to Mesa Community College (Scottsdale, Ariz.) 37-30 on Saturday.

Brandon Dawkins, QB, Oaks Christian High School, Westlake, Calif.
Oaks Christian High School had a bye this past weekend but returns to action Friday against Calabasas High School (Calabasas, Calif.).
2013 Stats: 146-for-230 (60 percent completion percentage), 2,508 yards passing, 30 touchdowns, six interceptions, 226 yards rushing, two rushing touchdowns

Kaelin Deboskie, WR, Salpointe Catholic High School, Tucson, Ariz.
Deboskie had two receptions for 18 yards and two rushes for 14 yards in a 51-0 win over Vista Grande High School (Casa Grande, Ariz.).
2013 Stats: 32 receptions, 512 yards, 10 receiving touchdowns, 116 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown

Cameron Denson, WR, Salpointe Catholic High School, Tucson, Ariz.
Denson had a 32-yard touchdown reception and rushed the ball four times for 107 yards and a touchdown in a 51-0 win over Vista Grande High School (Casa Grande, Ariz.).
2013 Stats: 43 receptions, 940 receiving yards, 11 receiving touchdowns, 153 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns

Tony Ellison, RB, Granite Bay High School, Granite Bay, Calif.
Ellison didn’t record any statistics in the Grizzlies’ 31-14 loss to Rocklin (Rocklin, Calif.).
2013 Stats: 46 carries, 390 rushing yards, 165 receiving yards, 10 total touchdowns

Layth Friekh, OT, Centennial High School, Peoria, Ariz.
Friekh played but did not record any statistics in Centennial’s 42-0 win over Ironwood (Glendale, Ariz.)
2013 Stats: 8 games played

Patrick Glover, DB, Scottsdale Community College, Mesa, Ariz.
Glover had five tackles and one pass deflected in a 60-21 win over Phoenix College (Phoenix).
2013 Stats: 28 tackles (1.0 for loss), one interception, four pass deflections, one forced fumble, one fumble recovered, two defensive touchdowns

Jonathan Haden, RB, Friendship Collegiate Academy, Washington, D.C.
Stats were not posted for Haden of Friendship Collegiate Academy for their 27-8 loss to Bergen Catholic High School (Oradell, N.J.).
2013 Stats: 40 rushes, 147 rushing yards, three catches, 56 receiving yards, two total touchdowns

Naijiel Hale, DB, St. John Bosco High School, Bellflower, Calif.
Hale had six tackles (one for loss) and a sack in a 42-24 win over Orange Lutheran (Orange, Calif.).

J.R. Hunt, S, Chandler High School, Chandler, Ariz.
Hunt recorded one sack in a 56-10 win over Perry High School (Gilbert, Ariz.).
2013 Stats: 28 tackles, 6.0 sacks, one interception, one pass deflection, two quarterback hurries, one defensive touchdown

Kaige Lawrence, OL, Chaffey College, Victorville, Calif.
Lawrence hasn’t played in any games this season, according to CCCAAstats.org. The Panthers defeated San Bernardino (San Bernardino, Calif.) 23-12 Saturday night.

Kwesi Mashack, DB, Vista Murrieta High School, Murrieta, Calif.
Mashack had one tackle in a 43-3 win over Great Oak High School (Temecula, Calif.).

Jordan Morgan, WR, Southridge High School, Beaverton, Ore.
Morgan had four catches for 57 yards in a 42-41 loss to Westview (Portland, Ore.).
2013 Stats: 22 receptions, 404 yards, 129 rushing yards, six total touchdowns

Antonio Smothers, LB, Scottsdale Community College, Scottsdale Ariz.
Smothers had two tackles, including one for a loss in a 60-21 win over Phoenix College (Phoenix).
2013 Stats: 39 tackles (10.0 for loss), 3.0 sacks, one forced fumble, one interception, one pass broken up

Levi Walton, OL, Ida Baker High School, Cape Coral, Fla.
Walton did not record any statistics in a 42-17 loss to South Fort Meyers (Fort Meyers, Fla.)

Marquis Ware, ATH, Salesian High School, Los Angeles, Calif.
