Jalen Tabor leaves Arizona hanging, flips to Florida

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

It was just one week ago when 5-star cornerback Jalen Tabor committed to Arizona over Alabama at the Under Armour All-American Game. With a sudden change of heart, Tabor has flipped his commitment to Florida earlier this morning. This comes as a big shock considering the Maryland product had  Arizona and Alabama on his final list. Tabor is rated as the 4th best corner in the nation and #15 overall on the ESPN 300 and he plans to enroll at The University of Florida later this semester, despite his tweets last week.

Unfortunate for Jalen as he had the potential to come in as a true freshman, start at corner and become an immediate impact player for the Wildcats. There is still a lot of potential in the 2014 recruiting class with plenty of of promise featuring 4-star defensive backs including Naijiel Hale and Rodney Carr. Although Tabor flipped, it shows that Rich Rodriguez can con compete for 5-star recruits and grab them over storied programs such as Alabama.

Sour grapes for Arizona fans? Of course. But for Jalen, we wish him the best of luck and hope that he can be the difference maker when playing against Georgia Southern.
