Two more days, two more recruits. The Wildcats have been on a hot recruiting trail this past month and they show no signs of slowing down, as they have just recently picked up commitments from two transfer runnings backs.
The first comes from Dami Ayoola, former 3-star recruit at Illinois. Dami played in 11 games as a true freshman, totaling 117 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries (4.5 ypc). However Ayoola was dismissed from the program for violating team rules, which leads him to Arizona Western for this upcoming season before he will transfer to Arizona in 2015. As a true freshman, Ayoola made the most of his carries and with two years of eligibility remaining, he shows a lot of promise – his highlights are below.
Arizona’s second commitment comes from former UNLV and Northwestern running back, Adonis Smith. Amassing close to 500 yards in his first two years at Northwestern, Smith decided to transfer to UNLV, where he found minimal carries and success. Adonis can play immediately and has one year of eligibility remaining, hoping to earn the starting job in the backfield. Smith comes at an opportune time as there seems to be no clear cut favorite at running back, which means he will join Zach Green, Pierre Cormier, Terris Jones-Grigsby and incoming freshman Nick Wilson on the depth chart. Get to know Adonis before he heads to Tucson.
