JUCO safety Paul Magloire commits to Arizona, ready to turn heads

It’s been an interesting road for 2015 safety Paul Magloire, but it appears as if he has finally found the right place. Magloire began his college journey at Appalachian State as a dual-threat quarterback. After redshirting his freshman year, Magloire converted to running back, but received a limited amount of carries. This lead him to the desert, where he enrolled at Arizona Western College and switched positions once again, this time to safety.

Somehow, someway, Magloire’s spring practice highlights from AWC made their way over to the Arizona coaching staff. Impressed by his ability to play safety after playing on the offensive side of the ball for two years at Appalachian State, Arizona sent an offer his way. Although he had conversations with schools including California and Oregon State, Magloire pounced and committed to Arizona the day he received his offer. Magloire committed to Arizona almost two weeks ago, however it should be noted that Iowa State just offered him a scholarship this past weekend.

His coverage skills, size and speed will be a great asset in 2015 as Magloire is ready to put on for the ZonaZoo. He will have two years of elligibilty remaining once he enrolls after the 2014 season. Magloire will also have a familiar face on the team as running back Dami Ayoola, current AWC teammate, will also join the Wildcats in 2015.
