March Madness: The Arizona Wildcats earned a hard-fought win in the Sweet Sixteen to advance to the Elite Eight

Wow! What a game last night, nervous time, fans were chanting and cheering loudly and when Jacob Hazzard asked us to.  I was so happy to see Coach Sean Miller keep his cool, and the team pushed on and persevered. After the game, we went to celebrate at Tom’s Urban and half of the bar was filled with Badger Fans, and the other half with Wildcat fans, no one was co-mingling.

Here is some video’s, recaps, news and tweets from the last 24 hours or so.

March Madness: Xavier is out, Arizona is In the Elite Eight, by Shereen Rayan

“Coach Sean Miller just added one more notch in his legacy belt, a third Elite Eight game in four years, and it didn’t come easy. Arizona defeated Xavier 68-60 on Thursday night after a 19-7 run at the end of the game. The team came out in the first five minutes or so and looked strong, but then their shots stopped falling and they were making silly mistakes or should we call them what they were: turn overs.”

Xavier Can’t Hang Around With Arizona; Late Collapse Allows For Wildcats To Escape, by

“With the final Thursday berth in the Elite Eight, Xavier hoped it could be the one upset of the day but crumbled as time was winding down and allowed Arizona to come through with the win.”

Arizona Wildcats Move on to Elite Eight, by

“T.J. McConnell was absolutely on fire for the Wildcats as he finished with 17 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. McConnell didn’t think he had the best game however as he said he “couldn’t throw it into the ocean from the beach” talking about his inefficiencies from beyond the arch. McConnell was just one-for-six from distance.”
