Next year there will be a new force of nature in Tucson, his name is Khalil Tate and he is extremely athletic.

Khalil Tate gave his future fans a taste of what’s to come, and we all enjoyed it.

Khalil participated in the Rivals Camp presented by Underarmor recently, he won the Mr. Versatility award:

We thought it would be a great time to catch up with Khalil and his family to learn more about our future Wildcat.

ZZ: Congratulations on all your honors and offers, and we do think you picked the best school in the country to attend! What do you think were the main reasons you and your parents chose Arizona?

Khalil: I really love the campus academic environment, academic support, football facilities, coaching staff, the family feel and the support from the #1 student section in the nation.

ZZ: I think it is hugely important to have a great support system when going off to college, and your mother, rightly so, is devoted to making this a great experience for you and your future, how important is that in your success do you think? How about any other family members, how do they support you?

Khalil: I really appreciate having the support of my mom, dad, brother, and other family members.  My family has always been supportive.  When I was 3-4 years old, my grandmother taught me how to put my fingers on he football laces and throw the ball.  My brother is a WR so I would always practice with him at home on the front lawn, in the middle of the street and at the park. So I’ve had family support from the beginning.  The Tate family is large and a lot of fun so I’m sure my family will tailgate at the U of A games.
