As the first round of the NFL Draft approaches, Linebacker Paul Magloire Jr. is getting himself prepared both physically and mentally for the weekend.

It’s been such a pleasure writing about Arizona Football Safety/ Linebacker Paul Magloire Jr. over the last few years, he is a joy, but he is also quite the athlete. At 6-foot-1 and 227 pounds, Magloire is nimble and knows how to get to his target. Being nimble in the NFL has become more of a plus than size lately, so said ESPN’s Mike Golic Tuesday morning on Mike and Mike.

Magloire Jr. is said to be underrated, perhaps even the most underrated linebacker in the draft. He killed it in his pro day. He benched 225 pounds 25 times!

The NFL Draft starts this Thursday and runs through the weekend (from April 27-29). Draft profiles like on NFLDraftScout.com for example, have Magloire rated No. 35 out of 189 for the OLB position and No. 426 out of 2,752 total players. While Bleacher Report Matt Miller ranks Magloire Jr. at No. 37 but has him much higher overall at No. 292.

NFL Draft Analyst Chad Reuter has Magloire Jr. going to the Cincinnati Bengals, (Marquise Flowers team) twice! Once in Round 4 (138) and once in Round 5 (176), but both much higher than others, and Reuter has him drafted.

Fansided’s Chris Spooner (NFL Spin Zone) summed up Magloire by mentioning his size was the only limiting factor, has him as one of five linebackers the Miami Dolphins should be considering.

"One of the most intriguing prospects in the latter portions of the draft is Arizona linebacker Paul Magloire Jr. If Magloire was a couple inches taller and 15 pounds heavier, he’d likely be talked about among the top linebacker prospects in this draft. Other than size, Magloire has the skills to be an effective linebacker at the NFL level. His instincts and strong tackling ability make him a decent option against the run. His agility and athleticism make him good in the passing game."

Sports Illustrated’s Chris Burke

made a great argument for Magloire Jr. to be invited to the NFL Combine and added him to his ‘Draft This Dude’ team. He is especially impressed with Magloire’s technique. Burke feels if he just could just “burst through the gap” and charge more vertically at the quarterback more, it could only improve his game. Here is his comment on the following play:

"The balance really stood out on that play—Magloire kept his feet despite a lunging cut block, then closed on the QB in a hurry. He also showed decent bend when he had those pass-rushing opportunities off the edge, another nod to his physical attributes. – Burke"

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers met with Magloire, as well as the Arizona Cardinals and New York Giants.

Visualization is a technique used by successful people. They visualize what goal the want to achieve, feel what would feel like to be living that life, and then imagine what it would look like. Magloire Jr. has got that down, which uni looks best on him you think? (notice he flipped his number around from 14 to 41, hmm.)

Magloire Jr. has always been good to Zona Zealots, and to fans who want to interact with him. “I feel as if players should always try and interact with the fans. They come and cheer for us players on game days so why not interact with them when you get the chance to?”  That’s commendable.
