With recruiting virtually over for 2020, that didn’t stop the Wildcats as they have picked up a late commitment in Anthony Patt.

Who said the recruiting class is over for 2020? We are still months away from the start of the season, and the Wildcats have secured another late commitment in the class with the addition of Anthony Patt.

A solid offensive lineman at San Marcos High School (San Marcos, CA), Patt is a player that has flown a bit under the radar. Receiving offers from smaller schools like; Southwest Minnesota State, Lehigh and Black Hills State among others, Arizona offered late in the process and it didn’t take long for the Southern California product to pick the Cats.

Making his decision known via social media, Patt committed to the Wildcats on Monday evening.

Standing 6-feet-5-inches and 270 pounds, Patt becomes the 21st commitment in the class and will most assuredly provide more depth along the offensive line.

More likely a project player, Anthony has great size and could certainly add more to his frame. He’s the type of athlete you would love to have along the offensive line!

Even though I’m sure some have their doubts just by looking at his offer sheet, but I’d rather take a chance on a big, athletic kid that has room to develop.

Based on his film, you can tell he loves contact, has good overall blocking skills and is incredibly versatile, lining up mostly at tackle, but even at center as well.

He can get a bit tall in his blocks, but typically excels more in run blocks. He has a good overall base and will often finish the block with a pancake! That’s the type of blocking you love to see from a big guy!

Just take a look for yourself!
