Both the men and women faced some stiff competition this weekend in Tucson. The Stanford Cardinal and Cal Bears  invaded to Tucson for some Friday and Saturday swimming and diving.

On Friday, the men faced off against the #10 Stanford Cardinal and fell 160-101. The men were able to get five individual victories on the day in the 1,000 free, 100 and 200 breast, 50 free, and the 200-medley relay. Saturday was a different story as the #3 Cal Bears came to Tucson and just absolutely crushed the men. Arizona was only able to win the 50 free and two diving competitions en route to losing 205-93. The Wildcats are now 1-2 on the season.

The women squared off with #3 Stanford on Friday and dropped a 145-111 decision. The Wildcat women were able to get wins in the 200 back, 500 free, 1,000 free, 200 IM, and the 400 freestyle relay. Saturday was almost a major upset for the Wildcats as they took the top ranked Cal Bears down to the final relay. Arizona could not pull it out, losing 157-143, but it was still an impressive showing by the women. The Wildcats were able to pick up seven individual victories swimming and two victories diving on Saturday. Arizona is now 0-2 in dual meets, but has won a quad meet.
