The Arizona Wildcats women’s basketball team returned to McKale Center still looking for their first conference win of the season. Their opponents were the two Oregon schools.
Up first, on Friday, the Wildcats welcomed the #8/#9 Oregon State Beavers to McKale and fell 73-55. The ‘Cats stuck with the Beavers for the first half and were only down six at the half, but Oregon State is the better team and showed that in the second half.
The Wildcats then welcomed the Oregon Ducks, on Sunday, and broke the long seven game losing streak and got their first conference win of the season! It took overtime and a three pointer with 8.5 seconds left, but the Wildcats finally broke through in Pac-12 play with the 81-78 win.
