In the hunt:
F Stanley Johnson-Arizona
F Kevon Looney–UCLA
F Dillon Brooks–Oregon
The Winner:
Stanley Johnson-Arizona
This award is no contest and will be won by Stanley Johnson. Looney and Brooks are having great freshman seasons, but no freshman in the Pac-12 is even close to Stanley. Johnson is 12th in the Pac-12 in scoring, averaging 14.5 ppg, is 11th in rebounding, averaging 7.0, is tied for seventh in steals, averaging 1.50 spg, and is in the top 15 from beyond the arc, shooting 39.3%. He is the best player on the best team and already has the FOY award wrapped up. The only question is if he will catch Delon Wright for POY.
