Today’s News….

NCAA Press Conference with Coach Sean Miller Excerpts – Care of AZCentral.com

Coach Sean Miller on his brother Archie Miller and the job he’s been able to do at Dayton: “When I watched Dayton play early in the year, I knew they had a terrific team..For him to lose two pivotal front court players, both that were really like starters, you don’t know how that’s going to work.” “I don’t know if anybody’s done a better job handling adversity, coaching their team, leading Dayton back to the tournament, I think back-to-back years for the first time in a long, long time..”

What hiring Damon Stoudamire means to the team, “All of us need great coaching staffs. I think we have one of the best ones. Emanuel Richardson has been with me for eight years. Joe Pasternack in that case, who is our current associate head coach, does an outstanding job. Damon Stoudamire, no question, he’s added a lot.One of the things we love about Damon is that he became an NBA player for 13 years, but he did it by playing at the University of Arizona first. Played in a final four.” And he added. “But he’s added a lot to us. I think he’s made our coaching staff even better.”

President Barack Obama Reveals His 2015 March Madness Bracket – by Mike Chiari

POTUS Picked Arizona to beat Wisconsin in the Elite Eight! He also has an opinion on how to change the game:

“I am an advocate, by the way, for the NCAA changing the rules in terms of shortening the shot clock, widening the lane, moving the three-point line back a little bit. The fact of the matter is I like how basketball is going in the NBA because it’s fluid. What (Spurs coach) Gregg Popovich did with San Antonio I think is being replicated now with Atlanta and Golden State, and you’re seeing a lot of teams move in that direction. I’d like to see college basketball get back to that. It’s a fast game, let’s get it down to 30 seconds at minimum.” – President Barack Obama
