First up is Oregon State.

They are projected as a No. 12 seed in the Midwest Region. Lunardi has the Beavers playing in the First Four as the last team in the field.

Wayne Tinkle and Beavers got Arizona fans attention last year when they dropped the Cats in Corvallis 58-56.

With a Senior heavy team led by Gary Payton Jr. and possibly the best Oregon State recruiting class ever, Beavers fans are hoping this is the year Oregon State can make it back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1990.

Arizona plays the Beavers once this year, at McKale Center

The next projected team is just down the road from Corvallis.

Lunardi has the Oregon Ducks projected as a No. 10 seed in the Midwest Region.

The Ducks won 26 games last year and had the Pac-12 player of the year Joseph Young (T.J. McConnell got robbed). With an undermanned squad Dana Altman put together a nice campaign but no one in Eugene noticed.

A community known for it’s awesome football game day atmosphere averaged less than 7,000 fans a game at it’s Taj Mahal basketball facility that holds over 12,000 fans.

It will be fun to watch Arizona’s Kadeem Allen and Oregon’s Chris Boucher play in the Pac-12 this year. Allen was named JuCo Player of the Year in 2014 and Boucher matched the feat in 2015.

The Cats play the Ducks once this year at McKale Center in late January.

Next up is the UCLA Bruins.
