Channing Frye is still playing in the NBA, he’s playing with former Arizona basketball player Aaron Gordon in Orlando.

Channing Frye is playing in his 10th season in the NBA as a center but also plays power forward. Drafted No. 8 overall in the first round of the 2005 draft by the New York Knicks, he won 2005-06 NBA All-Rookie honors.  Frye only spent two seasons in New York before they traded him to the Portland Trailblazers. In 2009, he signed as a free agent with the Phoenix Suns and in 2014, he signed Signed 4-yr, guaranteed $32 million deal with the Orlando Magic. Frye currently plays with fellow Arizona Wildcat Aaron Gordon.

Channing missed the 2012/2013 season due to and enlarged heart determined during a routine pre-season treadmill test. The only thing that cures this type of medical issue is rest, thus Frye took off the 2012/2013 season and came back in 2013.
