Cats in the NBA

Speaking of Arizona basketball, Wildcats fans not only enjoyed reading about current players on the roster but their alumni in the pros. After the Cats lost to the Wichita Shockers in the first round of the NCAA tournament, the next exciting event for the players leaving Arizona was the NBA Draft.

The 2016 NBA Draft brought in a lot of viewers as did anything with T.J. McConnell, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Aaron Gordon and Stanley Johnson. Rondae bought his mom a house, and T.J made the Sixers roster, Aaron Gordon came close to winning the NBA All-Star dunk contest and Stanley Johnson took on Lebron James in the NBA Playoffs and we talked about it in an exclusive Zona Zealots interview.

Although Aaron Gordon did not officially win the Dunk contest, he captured the hearts of NBA fans everywhere with his ‘out of this world acrobatics’ which will never be forgotten. Most thought the Dunk contest got to be stale and uninteresting, but Zach Lavine (who won the contest) and Gordon brought it back to life!
