In a bit of news unrelated to sports that will surely make Arizona fans happy, the University of Arizona was named the most beautiful school in the state.
According to Travel and Leisure (a Travel Guide Magazine), the University of Arizona was named the most beautiful college in the state of Arizona.
Known for its timid weather (outside the scorching summers), loyal fans and beautiful palm trees, it appears Arizona is perceived the best by even the outsiders. I mean, this surely isn’t hard to believe, but it is nice to hear its appreciated from an unbiased source.

According to the criteria, the magazine used our scenery, building design and continual upkeep of the campus grounds as basis for selecting it as the most beautiful school in the state of Arizona.
Since opening as the first University in the Arizona territory in 1885, the UofA has grown substantially since then, and its strong reputation still precedes it to this day. We’ve also come a long way from the dirt roads that led up to Old Main (the campuses’ original building).
News broke Tuesday about the honor, and we couldn’t be happier. Of course it is also nice to know that our college is considered better looking than rival ASU, NAU or even Grand Canyon.
As Wildcats we are truly fortunate to have such an amazing school to support, after all, it could be a lot worse, we could be Sun Devil fans.
This is just another sort of thing to brag about, in addition to ASU being unable to beat us in “effing Tucson” in any of the major varsity sports.
If you have never seen this All The Way up video, it is a must see, and of course McKale and Lowell Stadium are included!

We’re certainly proud of the distinction. We love our Wildcats, and love our school, we’re just glad others are also seeing some of the many reasons why. Bear Down, Arizona!
