Game one for Spain was a complete spanking by the Arizona basketball team; they won by 69 points.
Arizona Basketball fans travel well. They even travel to Spain to watch their Wildcats play an exhibition game. The arena was mostly empty, but behind the Arizona bench, there were about 30 fans clad in Arizona gear.
The team they played was the Com. Valenciano, the champions according to the announcers.
The Wildcats dominated the Spanish team, didn’t matter who was on the court. Per Bruce Pascoe, “UA’s 112-46 (or 113-44 per @Aplayersprogram) win is Wildcats’ biggest recorded foreign exhibition win ever, surpassing 136-76 win over “Real Deal Shockers” in 2012 at Nassau.”

Notes – First Half
- The game was not two halves; it was four quarters
- If you cannot get FloSports to work, restart your Apple TV
- Brandon Randolph scored 11 points in 2nd quarter
- Deandre Ayton is playing (there was a rumor he wasn’t going to)
- Emmanuel Akot did play point with Rawle Alkins and Allonzo Trier playing the two and three, nice look
- Noticed Dusan Ristic feels completely at home in Spain, announcers said when Ristic was out, they were worried that the team would start falling behind
- Team barely played any defense at the end of the half
- First half score: 53-27
Notes – Second Half
We always knew Arizona is a second half team, mostly I think because they play offense in front of Coach Miller and their bench. The Spanish team had not scored a point in the third quarter, it wasn’t until the 3:35 mark that they got a lay up. This is mostly because Arizona stepped up their defense, cannot slack off at any time, Miller must’ve have corrected that.
- King Rawle started the scoring early with a sweet nothing-but-net three, he can make three’s, who said he couldn’t again?
- Parker Jackson-Cartwright playing the one as a starter looked like he was in command of the court
- Ayton can make his free-throws
- Ristic lived on the boards and made a no-look pass, then he transitioned quickly – looking great, the Serbian is 7-foot and 245 pounds
- Arizona dominated the third quarter, only five points scored by their opponent
- Dylan Smith can shoot three’s!
- Ahead 86-32 in the third quarter
- B-Rand lead the team with 21 points going into the fourth quarter, including a one-handed-get-your-team-off-the-bench-to-celebrate slam dunk
- Pinder is a defensive machine
- The Wildcats are DEEEEEEEEEEEP, they have a very deep bench this season
- Jake Desjardins scored back to back buckets in the final two minutes
- Ristic logged 14 rebounds
- Fan favorite Rawle Alkins was the last player off the court because folks wanted pictures with him
- CATS WIN BY 69 POINTS!
Top Scorers, five players in double figures!
