Arizona Basketball shooting guard Allonzo Trier is, simply put, on another level than anyone now.
The hardest worker on the team is beating opponents down in every way possible. He’s going to the line, shooting 58% from three, mid-range jump shot, and step back jumper is impossible to defend.
Even though it is only three games into the season, Allonzo Trier looks to be on another level. Trier is averaging 30 points per game through the first 3 games. He has been one of the most efficient players in all of college basketball. Sean Miller has said it time and time again that Trier is one of the hardest working players he has ever coached. He is yet to have a full season for Sean Miller and the Wildcats.
The biggest excitement for Cats fans is what would happen with a full year of Allonzo Trier. Trier suffered a broken hand his freshman year and was suspended part of last season. Allonzo is the quiet leader of this stacked Arizona basketball team. Trier has already won Player of the Week Honors after posting back-to-back 30 point games.
Trier has grown as a player so much from his freshman year to now. Credit Sean Miller for taking a 5-star potential one and done player and making him an all-around nightmare to defend.

Sean Miller has constantly praised Trier for overcoming the adversity, “He’s been through his fair share of adversity…Our hope together is that he can have one of those seasons that are memorable…where he can string it together from start to finish day 1 all the way to the last game.”
Trier has played big-time minutes in the NCAA tournaments but he has never been able to play in a season from start to finish. It is scary to think what he can do for an entire season. The 6-foot-5 guard can score from anywhere on the court and is a leader. He’s the first to arrive and usually the last to leave. He never wants to leave the gym and it rubs off on his teammates.
It’s very rare that Arizona has had top recruits around for three years. Luckily for us, Trier decided to finish what he set out to do at Arizona and that is to win a championship. He is a very special player that can lift a team and score points in a hurry. He rarely has off nights and that bodes well down the stretch in the tournament having a veteran player like Trier who has played in big games and taken big shots in his college career.

Right now Trier is on a different level making defenders look silly. It is scary to think what “mid-season” form will look like for Trier.
