Arizona Basketball: Wildcats fans, time to Speculate!

We are sadly in the offseason for the Arizona Basketball team, and it appears like we have hit uncharted waters with so much uncertainty surrounding next year. One of the biggest question marks involves the head coaching position. WIll Sean Miller stay or will he decide to go? Also, a possibility is if more developments in the FBI case will force the University’s hand.

Miller was recently rumored to be up for the Pitt Coaching job, for the second time. But he quickly dispelled the rumors with a Tweet. Since Duke Assistant Coach Jeff Capel took the job, Wildcats fans who want Miller to stay can breathe a sigh of relief. In other coaching news, the Xavier Coach Chris Mack took the Louisville job, so now Xavier is looking for a coach. Miller coached at Xavier before his time at Arizona, so let the new rumors begin.

Whatever happens, I thought it would be a good time to think about my top five candidates for the job IF Sean Miller is no longer with the Arizona Wildcats next season. The biggest question might be, who would want to step in to coach a team that may get sanctions and still has the cloud of the FBI Investigation looming over the program? Some resolution would be needed.

Let me be clear these names are based on SPECULATION, and there is no insider information that is being used through this list.
