No. 4 Porter Moser (Loyola-Chicago)

The No. 4 coach on my list is in the middle of one of best Cinderella stories the NCAA tournament has ever seen. Porter Moser has engineered an unprecedented feat of an 11-seed making the final four, something that has only happened three times before.

Moser’s team has proven to be solid in almost every aspect of basketball, whether it’s their smothering defense that ranks 13th in the country in defensive efficiency or their offense that can beat teams inside and out. They have also shown that fundamentals still matter a ton!!!

Moser, a Rick Majerus disciple, has adopted everything his mentor’s teams were. Defense and fundamentals are both areas where Arizona could benefit from this hiring the most. The biggest question mark surrounding this hire would be can Moser duplicate the success from this year or is this season just a fluke? That question is something a ton of schools will be lining up to find out about. He sure has a team with a ton of chemistry, and chemistry is essential to winning an NCAA Tournament.
