We all know a Wildcat is faster then a Devil! That was surely the case in Oregon for the Pac-12 Cross Country Championship, for both the men and women. The men ended up first in eight place and the women finished in seventh place overall. Claire Green led the way finishing in 17th place and helping the Wildcats secure the victory over ASU. The Devils though finished in ninth place for each, coming up just short, resulting in the Wildcats earing two more points in the cup series, 2.5-0, Arizona.

November 2, 2017 – Wildcat Women’s soccer

Goallllllllllllllllllllllll!! The Wildcat’s women soccer team kept the winning streak alive when they danced with the Devils in this epic Pac-12 showdown from back in November. The Wildcats got on the board first in the first half of play, making it 1-0 early. Unfortunately,  ASU would respond in the second half, scoring a goal, and tying it 1-1.

Luckily, it was the Wildcats who showed their resilience, scoring again at the 75th minute mark thanks to an Amanda Porter strike, giving the Cats the 2-1 lead, and ultimately the victory, increasing Arizona’s lead to 3.5-0 versus ASU.

This win would also help the Wildcats get into the NCAA Tournament, where they ultimately lost in the second round to Florida State 2-0.
