No. 2 Oregon Ducks

2017 Record: 7-6 (4-5)

One of the teams I see making the biggest jump and providing one of the toughest challenges for the Wildcats in 2018, is the Oregon Ducks.

Under first year coach Willie Taggart, the Ducks started hot, winning four of their first five games, then quarterback Justin Herbert went down, and the Ducks faltered a little bit, losing three straight before winning three of their final five games to finish 7-6 (4-5). Oregon was still able to sneak into a bowl game, which they ultimately lost to Boise State.

So far their off-season saw a bit of change. Taggart moved on to greener pastures, leaving the Ducks after one season. Luckily, for them, they have a capable coach in Mario Cristobal who is recruiting extremely well for the Ducks.

They return most of their talent in 2018, and barring injury, I see them improving on that 7-6 record. This game is in Tucson, but Oregon is easily one of the more talented teams in the Pac-12.
