No. 5 – Utah Utes

2017 Record: 7-6 (3-6)

The Utes seem to be pretty high on most other lists, however, I am just not completely sold. Utah does have some talent returning, however, they also lose some very important pieces from last season.

Defensively is where Utah should excel the most and rightfully so. They have a lot of talent on that side of the ball, and will definitely provide a tough challenge to Arizona.

Early on, they shouldn’t have much of a challenge to start the year before jumping into the meatier part of their schedule, where they will then play Washington, Washington State and Stanford before facing the Wildcats at home.

While the Utes snuck out of Tucson with a narrow win, lucky for them, they didn’t see Tate all evening. Well, the both can finally introduce themselves to each other on October 12, when the Wildcats travel to Salt Lake.

With that said, that’s why Utah comes in at No. 5.
