Arizona Basketball Recruiting: Boogie Ellis has Arizona in Top 8

Another day, another top list is released for an Arizona Basketball recruit that features the Wildcats, this time it’s Boogie Ellis.

When you’re on a roll, you’re on a roll, and right now the Arizona Basketball program is rolling, as they are continue to build some nice momentum in the recruiting class of 2019.

As we stated yesterday and a few days ago, the Wildcats are heavily recruiting Nico Mannion and Josh Green. Luckily, Green and Mannion recently released their ‘top lists’, both of which feature Arizona!

Well on Tuesday, one more Arizona recruit decided narrow his choice of schools, this time it was Southern California-based point guard, Rejean “Boogie” Ellis. The prolific athlete decided to narrow his choice of schools to eight, one of which is Arizona.

In addition to the Wildcats, Ellis is also considering Oregon, Gonzaga, San Diego State, Oklahoma, Memphis, Georgia Tech and USC.

Standing an impressive 6-feet-2-inches and 165-pounds, Ellis is a solid point guard in this class. Rated as a four-star player and ranked 81st overall in the class, he also is considered to be the 6th overall ranked point guard in 2019, and 9th best player in the state of California according to 247Sports.

Despite standing 6-foot-2, Ellis is more of a combo guard who can score at all three-levels. He is versatile enough to where he can pull up and knock down the jumper, extending all the way out to three, and can beat guys off the dribble.

Ellis is quick, possesses good ball skills and can see the court well. He’s a natural scorer, and despite his slender frame, he is a guy that can easily put on more weight and still be highly effective.

In my opinion, Ellis projects as a high-level college guard, and would be a great asset to any time who lands this player!

Just check out his highlights below!
