No. 5 – Energy

Perhaps this is just my perception, but it seems the Wildcats have looked flat and/ or disinterested in their first two games. Why could that be? Who knows, but regardless, it’s an area I think needs to improve, and could really do the Wildcats some wonders moving forward if they improve this.

There’s nothing like being fired up for a game. When you’re emotionally charged it almost provides an extra lift that carries into the fans, and can help teams to some degree transcend their natural talent and ability. Look no further than the 2016 Territorial Cup, when the Wildcats steamrolled visiting ASU.

Now, this is easy for me to say, as I’m not a collegiate athlete and I am not out there competing , but I can’t help but think high energy and effort can certainly help this team, and perhaps they’re 1-1 instead of 0-2.

That’s why this Saturday, I think Arizona needs the energy, and a bit of a pissed off attitude from the start.

May be hard to gauge this weekend, as this match-up certainly won’t be the most exciting, and I expect attendance to be down significantly from week one, however, this is an area I feel fans need to watch for. Is the team indifferent about the 0-2 start, or do they feel angered that they got straight molly-whopped the past two games?

It’s time to man up and start playing with a bit of energy and purposeful attitude!
