Always a hotly contested game, if you win you forever go down in history as a Wildcat great just for the pure fact you beat the Sun Devils.

A lot will be on the line for the Wildcats as they enter this one. Win, and Arizona will become bowl eligible for the sixth time in seven years, easily their best stretch since the early 90s under former head coach Dick Tomey.

*Side note, but Tomey and former Wildcat great Chuck Cecil met with the team this week to talk about the rivalry.

Winning against ASU and becoming bowl eligible would also be a huge feat for head coach Kevin Sumlin, in his first year with the Wildcats. The Cats will take 2nd place in the Pac-12 South.

Arizona entered the year with plenty of hype, but haven’t quite played to their expectations. After starting the year off 0-2, any postseason play has to be seen as a win here.

While the season has been marred by injuries and inconsistencies, if there are a few things to be hopeful for in this one, it’s that; ASU has been inconsistent this season (currently they are 6-5). Also, the Wildcats will be at home, and have played much better at Arizona Stadium, than on the road this season. Lastly, Khalil Tate is probably the healthiest he’s been all season.

But the question remains, how do the Wildcats come out victorious on Saturday? Well, Here is a few keys if the Wildcats want to reclaim the cup.
