Lauri Markkanen
The seventh-round draft pack of the 2017 NBA Draft has not seen any action this season due spraining his right elbow in September. Good news is he is getting closer to getting back onto the court for the Chicago Bulls. Lauri Markkanen, known by many as The Finnisher, had a remarkable rookie season and is looking to “finish” more his sophomore season.
His style of play combined with his size is what makes him so challenging for his opponents to defend. He can post down low, drive with both hands and of course knock down a three-pointer. Last season, Markkanen averaged 15.2 points per game, 7.5 rebounds per game, 1.2 assists per game
Bulls are desperately missing his presence as they are currently 5-16. They are getting production from their starting line up, but it’s not enough offensive power to win games down the stretch. Especially in today’s game of basketball, where everyone is shooting down threes, having someone like Markkanen helps.
It may take some time for Markkanen to get back into the swing of things once he starts playing again, but it’s just a matter of time before the Bulls start winning again. Wildcat fans and Bulls fan cannot wait before he gets back out there to do what he does best – finish!
Here he is getting some shots in – simply beautiful!
