Arizona Basketball: Wildcats in the Pros, who and where are they now?
By David Rosen
Ryan Anderson
Another undrafted former Arizona Wildcat has been rewarded. A common theme here for our players, no respect! Have to earn it the hard way, no problem After just playing one season at Arizona, then going undrafted and played with the Orlando Magic Summer League team in 2016, Ryan Anderson took his talent overseas.
Anderson played one season for the Antwerp Giants in the Belgian League and then played one season for Oliver Quzburg of the German Basketball Bundesliga. At 6-foot-9, 215 lbs, Anderson made his presence known while playing international basketball for the Giants. In 40 games player for the Giants, he averaged 11.3 points per game and 7.8 rebounds per game. During the Europe Cup, he averaged 13 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game.
This season, he played in seven games for the Oliver Baskets and averaged and two for Pieno Zvaigzdes, before getting signed to the Philadelphia 76ers G-League affiliate the Delaware Blue Coats. Anderson has played in six games for them this season and has averaged 6.8 points per game and 6.5 rebounds per game
What a journey! Keep in mind too he had to overcome injury to get this point. That’s what I’m talking about!
