Nick Johnson

Nich Johnson took his G-League team, the Austin Spurs to the finals and won. A G-League Champion, Johnson took home Finals MVP Honors. Two trophies.

Johnson started his career drafted by the Houston Rockets in the second round, got traded to the Denver Nuggets and was released. From there he took his talents to Bayern Munich and signed with German Basketball Bundesliga till the end of the season 2016 season. From there he returned to the Austin Spurs.

Coach Pop did give Johnson time with the San Antonio Spurs as he signed and played four preseason games with them before being waived.

Johnson is currently back with the Austin Spurs after being acquired.

This season he has started in all four games played. Johnson is averaging 19.8 points per game, 3.8 rebounds per game, 6.8 assists per game, 1.8 steals per game in 37.2 minutes of play. Those are some nice looking stats! Stats like those are what you get noticed by the NBA.

He is third in points for the Spurs, first in assists and first in minutes per game.  Against the Maine Red Claws this season he scored 24 points. Layups, crossovers, jumpers, step backs, three-pointers, Johnson was doing it all:
