Arizona Basketball: Wildcats in the Pros, who and where are they now?
By David Rosen
Jerryd Bayless
One of the few former Wildcats that would be considered a veteran, Jerry Bayless has notched 13 seasons in the NBA. Having played for eight different teams, he is what you call a true journeyman. Bayless was in his third season with the Philadelphia 76ers alongside T.J McConnell, before getting traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves on November 12, as a multi player deal which included superstar Jimmy Butler
Last season Bayless didn’t see much playing time due to the addition of Markelle Fultz, plus he had injured his thumb. This season, he hasn’t even seen any action as he is currently recovering from a hyperextended knee.
It goes to show that sometimes it’s about being in the right place at the right time and also have a little bit of luck. Unfortunately for Bayless neither of those things are happening. Hopefully, he can turn things around soon. For his career, he has averaged 8.5 points per game, 2.1 rebounds per game and 2.8 assists per game.
