The ultimate Christmas wish list for the Arizona Wildcats fans
No. 4 – An appearance in Omaha by Arizona Baseball
The 2018 season didn’t quite go the way many had hoped. The Wildcats had talent and hype heading into the season, but inconsistent play ultimately doomed Arizona Baseball from making the postseason…barely.
Just how close was it? Out of the 64 teams that made it, Arizona was the first school out at 65th!
The sweeps at the hands of Washington, Stanford and Cal certainly weren’t great games for Arizona, should they have won two-to-three of those, perhaps things would have been a little different.
This year, the hype will be there once again! Arizona returns talented players like; Nick Quintana, Cameron Cannon, Blake Paugh, Matt Fraizer and Randy Labaut among others. Beyond that, the Wildcats also signed the No. 3 recruiting class for 2018.
In 2019, it will be challenging once again with a competitive schedule and a tough conference slate in the uber-competitive Pac-12. The Wildcats have the talent and the potential to make a deep run.
My wish is to see the Wildcats return to Omaha!
