Arizona Football commit Grant Gunnell to play in All-American Bowl

For Arizona Football fans looking to watch Wildcats in action, you can watch current commit Grant Gunnell as he plays this weekend in San Antonio.

As high school seasons have come to a close across the country, current Arizona Football signee Grant Gunnell is set to play in the annual, High School All-American Bowl.

For those in need of a brief history lesson of the bowl game, the All-American Bowl was first created in December 2000, and is hosted by American Family Insurance. The bowl game is recognized as one of the nation’s premier high school sporting events every year, with numerous players having gone on to play in the NFL.

The event can be watched live on NBC, and it serves as a platform for recognizing high school excellence and is certainly a great distinction for any high school athlete to be selected. Gunnell was invited to play and will finally compete in the bowl this Saturday in San Antonio.

The Houston-area quarterback had a tremendous senior season, capping a terrific high school career, in which the Texas state passing and touchdown records were broken this year.

Considered just a three-star in the class of 2019, as it stands, Gunnell is also the 402nd ranked player overall according to 247sports, the 15th overall rated, Pro-style quarterback and the 49th ranked player in the state of Texas overall.

He will give Wildcats fans interested in watching an opportunity to see what the incoming freshman can do!

At 6-feet-6-inches and over 220 pounds, he has the ideal size and skill set of a potential NFL draft pick, with the right college development. He is accurate as a passer, completing nearly 70 percent of his passes according to Maxpreps.

He boasts all the physical tools for a passing quarterback prospect and is an impressive athlete! Just take a look at this throw by Gunnell to Ohio State commit Garrett Wilson.

The game will start at 11 am MST/ 10 am PST and will be televised on NBC for anyone interested in watching!
