The NET Ranking is the NCAA’s new measuring system for basketball teams, that replaced the RPI.

These rankings are fluid and update each week, but this week they come in at No. 57, which is ahead of three power conference teams (Vanderbilt, Missouri, and Arizona State).

The NET rankings are one of the main things that the NCAA tournament selection committee looks at when selecting teams for an at-large spot in the tournament. The NCAA tournament consists of 68 teams and since Arizona is ranked at No. 57 in the NET. If that was all the experts looked at then Arizona would make it into the tournament easily.

This main metric that the selection committee will use has Arizona in good standing and that is good news for Arizona fans.
