The Wildcats beat Cal 87-65. The Cats went into the half up 12 40-28, but came out swinging after half time and led by as much as 26 points. And although Brandon Williams committed five turnovers, his spark and offense helped the Cats immensely with acrobatic layups and three-pointers scoring 16 points (5-7) and four assists.
Chase Jeter dominated the paint scoring 23 points on 8-11 grabbing nine rebounds, a new record high for the big man. Bill Walton couldn’t contain himself after the game when interviewing Jeter. He told him he was tall and a great player and that his parents should be proud of him.
Ira Lee showed what he is capable of bringing on a regular basis to the Wildcats both on offense and defense. On Defence he blocked shots, and on offense, he had putbacks and this slam dunk that Rawle Alkins could be proud of:

Walton educated TV audiences on the EPA, the SID for Cal and the new SID for Arizona, Daniel Berk. But he also had a ton of great things to say about Sean Miller and the Wildcats. Richard Jefferson gushed about Brandon Randolph before the game and Williams at half time.
We got to see 11 minutes of Devonaire Doutrive and six minutes of Alex Barcello and we still wonder why they don’t get more playing time. Four players scored in double figures, Williams, Jeter, Coleman (13) and Randolph (12), these four players made 62% of the shots they took, unbelievable. Arizona also scored 42 points in the paint and grabbed 27 defensive rebounds.
Here are Chase’s highlights from the Pac-12 who posted a lot tonight about the Cats. The referee’s tonight did not blow their whistles like against Stanford, so Chase got to play a lot more.
Next up the Oregon schools, and now that Bol Bol is out for the season, the true test will come with an undefeated Oregon State team. Stephen Thompson Jr. is on fire this season and Tres Tinkle, although sidelined for a game or two, is also having a great year. The team beat USC is a tight competition last week.
